Addition of long established bankruptcy practice to assist your needs
At Reid and Hellyer, we have established the foremost bankruptcy department in the Inland Empire. Formerly the law firm of Hanover & Schnitzer of San Bernardino, Norman Hanover and Mark Schnitzer and their staff joined Reid and Hellyer in 2002. Before joining us, Mr. Hanover and Mr. Schnitzer had practiced bankruptcy law for over 40 years, and we have been able to add their expertise to Reid and Hellyer's other offerings. Mr. Hanover has since retired as of July 2006.
Our bankruptcy practice includes all facets of bankruptcy litigation and transactions, including representation of debtors, creditors, committees and trustees in small, medium and large workouts and bankruptcy cases for both businesses and individuals. This includes the preparation, filing and confirmation of Chapter 11 proceedings on behalf of debtors as well as the preparation and filing of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings. We have successfully represented creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings filed in the Inland Empire. In addition, we have prosecuted and defended literally hundreds of discharge and dischargeability actions, as well as other sophisticated adversary proceedings.
In addition to the foregoing, Mr. Schnitzer has successfully represented trustees in relation to the various legal problems they face. He also has been a member of the 9th Circuit Judicial Conference, and President of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Inland Empire Bankruptcy Forum.
Ms. Martha Warriner joined Reid & Hellyer bankruptcy department in October 2002.
