Reid & Hellyer Opens New Office in Orange County

Reid & Hellyer, one of the oldest and most well-respected law firms in Southern California, has opened a new office in Laguna Niguel, as reported in the Orange County Register.

Due to the firm's growing number of clients in Orange and San Diego counties, Reid & Hellyer recently opened a new Orange County office across the street from the new Laguna Niguel City Hall currently under construction.

Attorneys Jim Manning and Doug Plazak will staff the new office and provide legal advocacy services for clients as well as mediations and arbitrations, two growing and popular methods widely utilized by parties to legal disputes.

As the Daily Journal reported, Reid & Hellyer opened the office as part of a cooperative arrangement with business and real estate attorney John A. Babcock, a longtime practitioner and mediator in Orange and Riverside counties with Babcock & Cappelli LLP. He also holds an AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbard attorney rating service.

Manning, also AV rated, is a member of the Orange County Bar Association's Construction Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Elder Law and Real Estate Law sections. He is also a member of the board for the Riverside County Bar Association.

"With our growing number of clients from Orange County over the past couple years, opening an office here is one of the ways that we will be able to provide more efficient and effective service," Manning said. Doug Plazak has been serving clients in Orange County since 2000, is active with the Orange County Bar Association and is a member of its Business Litigation section.
