ScottTalkov.jpgReid & Hellyer Attorney Scott Talkov was elected by his peers as President of the Riverside County Barristers Association, the association of young and new attorneys within the Riverside County Bar Association, as reported by The Press-Enterprise.

The Barristers Association provides members opportunities to interact and network with their colleagues in the legal field with the purpose of providing camaraderie among young and newly admitted lawyers in Riverside County.

"When young and new attorneys network, socialze and give back to our community, everyone benefits," Talkov said. "This coming year, I plan to continue my efforts to expand the importance of Barristers by organizing innovative events, finding generous sponsors and leading creative initiatives to ensure that young attorneys are stakeholders in the future of our community."

He was elected member-at-large for the 2010-2011 term, allowing him to organize high-profile events including the District Attorney Paul Zellerbach and Public Defender Gary Windom Speech covered by the Press-Enterprise as well as a business development and law firm management panel featuring the leaders of nearly every major firm in the inland region. Scott also founded the Associated Students of UCR Legal Education Clinic, which connects students with Barristers who provide free legal advice.
